Travis M. Tarver

A lifelong Georgia native and resident of the Virginia Highland area for over a decade, Travis graduated from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law, and was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2009. In his legal career he has represented businesses and nonprofits of all shapes and sizes, from freelancers and sole proprietors to Fortune 500 companies. These came from diverse industries such as finance, construction, advertising, commercial real estate, performers, and conservation nonprofits. He also served as Chief Legal Officer of an early stage tech startup in the real estate space.
Along with his legal career, Travis has decades of real-world experience in business, and intimate familiarity with the nuts and bolts of running your own company. He is particularly passionate about small, owner-operated businesses and entrepreneurial ventures, having received his first taste of “the life” before he was old enough to drive. Coming from a family of multi-generation business owners, Travis has a unique, practical perspective and skill set that many attorneys lack. It is his honor and privilege to be a part of your life’s work and livelihood.
Virginia Highland Legal was born from Travis’s lifelong dream to help businesses and entrepreneurs, and give back to the community he and his family love so dearly. When he is not patronizing the wonderful businesses of the VaHi district, Travis enjoys volunteering with the Giving Kitchen, Oyster South, New American Pathways, and the Virginia Highland Civic Association, and spending time with his wife Anna and beautiful daughter Thea. He is on a never-ending quest to find the best sandwich in Atlanta.
